Slater exited the Rip Curl Pro Search event in Arica today in the 4th round following a defeat at the hands of Australia's Dean Morrison. The rumours are starting to mount that Slater is retiring effective immediately. Reported in Surf Nation first and then reported in the SMH today. I guess we'll wait and see til we hear it from the man himself.

Now that I have my broadband back I can download big files like the latest Chaser episode. At the very end (about 19minutes in) theres a section with some Bra Boys who don't exactly like the joke being played on them - and it would have turned really ugly if the cameras weren't there. They start em young these days, Jaylan Amor is just 2 years old and he is already surfing and has secured sponsorship deals.
